It was a 'variable' 'long life' service and someone at the pub:beerchug: told me it takes 500 hundred miles before the system works out the next service interval. Some time ago a guy who said he was an Audi tech from N.Y. e-mailed me and said the dealer could code the service indicator so that the oil light wouldn't come on again for 100,000 miles.
